As a news piece, this was a very fun, fast-paced project overall. Since I filmed this as a single-person crew, I put on the Steadicam early in the event and stayed there. This worked well by giving me the flexibility to visualize and execute shots in quick succession – a necessity when filming children racing with no second takes!
