A very interesting opportunity to get up-close and personal to a controlled fire burn with Juneau’s Capital City Fire/Rescue. This piece was shot light and fast with a minimally rigged DSLR to stay out of the way and of course a GoPro on a firefighter’s helmet to go inside the building – arranged and rigged by the incomparable Matt Miller.
The biggest challenge was editing a day’s worth of footage (including several full drills captured by the GoPro) to find the best pieces.
